Meetings: Look Who's Talking meets on the third Wednesday of the month at the Sister Mary Pia Regional Cancer Center, Stockton, CA. There are no meetings held in July, August, or December. For additional information call the American Cancer Society at (209) 941-2676. Newsletters: Published ten times a year. Will exchange with other clubs at no charge. Loan Closet: Look Who's Talking maintains a loan closet of artificial larynges for those that have a instrument on order, or in for repair. It also provides a great opportunity for the laryngectomee to "try before you buy." Special Events: Look Who's Talking sponsors 2 house boat trips a year on the Delta (Generally in April and Oct.); a "Western Night" fund raiser in March that features dancing, bar-b-que ribs and a raffle, a picnic in July/Aug; and a Christmas Party in Dec. Visitors Program: In conjunction with the American Cancer Society, Look Who's Talking coordinates a Laryngectomee Visitors Program to provide information and support to new and potential laryngectomees. Both home and hospital visits are made. Tobacco Control: Members of Look Who's Talking, in conjunction with the American Cancer Society, conducts a tobacco control and education program by providing speakers to the schools and other organizations.
