The New Voice Club of Northern Virginia is a support group for people who have lost, or will lose, their natural voice due to surgery because of cancer and /or other causes.  To most of us this experience is traumatic and we are left with a feeling of helplessness because we are unable to speak.  After a time we realize that life goes on and we can achieve oral communication through alternative methods.

The New Voice Club of Northern Virginia is here to assist you.  Our members and associate members pool their knowledge and experience to help others achieve the best alternative speech (a new voice) possible.  We try to keep abreast of new technology that is constantly evolving for speech improvement.  In conjunction with the American Cancer Society (ACS) and the International Association of Laryngectomees (IAL), we maintain an exchange of medical and technological advances that will provide help and services to all people who share a new voice.  We distribute helpful information to people in our area, who have undergone a Laryngectomy.

            The New Voice Club of Northern Virginia cordially invites you to attend our meetings which are normally held at 7:30pm on the first Thursday of each month at the American Cancer Society Building at the above address in Vienna, VA.  We believe you will find the "caring and sharing" of knowledge and experience, and the camaraderie at these meetings to be stimulating and informative. Dr. Zilpha Bosone, a renowned speech therapist, is available before the meetings at 6:30 pm, to give training to laryngectomees in all three methods of speech available after this surgery.  There is no charge for this professional service.  For further information, see our Club Information Page and/or contact:
